HENWEN

[You are ushered through an archway covered in flowers of your team color and find yourself in a different, smaller garden- or at least, what will soon be a garden. Plots of freshly turned soil are lined up in two rows and the area is littered with all the tools you could need. The small field is surrounded on three sides by a wooden fence, and past it all that can be seen is a thick white fog.

Along the back fence is a wooden table, covered with paper seed packets. Each packet has the plant name and a price neatly written on the front, along with some...slightly strange descriptions. You can examine them all you like, but you'll find you can't actually pick up the packets...until you pay for them, of course. A small pile of silver coins sits on the table next to the seeds, which you can move and distribute freely.

A voice speaks from the sky as you look around, just as loud and obnoxiously cheerful as before:]

Okay, let's get started already! Today you guys are gonna try to grow the best garden you possibly can! You can handle that, right? Yeah, I know ya can! Seriously, it ain't hard, just buy whatever ya want! Oh, but be sure to take good care of them, and make sure they all grow big and strong. Trust me- you're gonna need 'em!

It's no less ridiculous than playing house.

I think this is inherently more ridiculous.

We can have a pointless discussion about that later. What do you wanna do?

Marigold in the two corners of our back-row. Wall-nut's in front of each.

Then 3 pea shooters in the 3 middle front spaces, and a cabbage pault in the middle of the back row?

You sure it's a good plan to spend all our money immediately?

Well, if this works the way I think it does...

We use our money to buy resources, and probably use those resources to fight.. something. So if we try to conserve it can cost us more in the long term. Like...if you have 100 troops in an army, and send 20 of them to capture 10 thieves, you'll probably have more injuries and casualties than if you sent 30, or even 50.

[shrugs]

Fair enough. I'm cool with that. I mean, not like I know anything about this kind of stuff.

It's basically battle strategy stuff disguised as gardening, yeah?

I'm assuming it's an advancing horde towards a line of archers type thing.

But.

Gardening.

See? You still have more of a clue about it than I do.
