Welcome to Jambudvipa!

Well, specifically, Gangaridai, a jungle region in the easternmost part of the subcontinent of Jambudvipa, which is currently under the rule of the semi-native Gurkhani Empire. It's a ~*strange and mystical land*~...well, at least to all of you.

You, the RESEARCHERS, are here from The United Empire, in order to explore new lands and go where no man has gone before! Your goal is to learn as much as is possible about the flora, fauna, and culture of this place, and maybe even convince the Gurkhani emperor to allow you to stay in his court!

The trials that await you and how you handle them will determine the fate of the region, and perhaps the entire nation, in the years to come...

-We're working with the natives: in exchange for helping them with hunting and fishing, they're going to help us research, gather food, and fortify our defenses!

-We teach them secret handshakes out of friendship!

-We hunt and fish and forage for ourselves, as well, using the materials found to fortify the camp!

-We do our research in the meantime, asking them if they have any stories or anything about the place they want to tell us!

You learn a lot about the culture and lifestyles of the place, including festivals and magical rituals and practices. While hunting and fishing, you learn about the varieties of animals inhabiting the place, from the humble RED PANDA to the ferocious LAKENAGA.

You are now properly fortified.
