Welcome to Jambudvipa!

Well, specifically, Gangaridai, a jungle region in the easternmost part of the subcontinent of Jambudvipa, which is currently under the rule of the semi-native Gurkhani Empire. It's a ~*strange and mystical land*~...well, at least to all of you.

You, the RESEARCHERS, are here from The United Empire, in order to explore new lands and go where no man has gone before! Your goal is to learn as much as is possible about the flora, fauna, and culture of this place, and maybe even convince the Gurkhani emperor to allow you to stay in his court!

The trials that await you and how you handle them will determine the fate of the region, and perhaps the entire nation, in the years to come...

Well... you know, that's part of their culture, right? They were really having a tough time! They even had leopards in their village because the gods were really displeased with them! We just didn't want anyone else to get sick or unhappy, you know? For your guys' sake, too! Isn't it a good thing to keep the peace?

He just sort of massages his temples, and orders his guards to throw you out.

Well, you may not have made much of an impression on the emperor, but you learned a lot, aren't dead, and you've certainly changed Gangaridai for the better.
