Re: TIME
......but she's pinged by the violin, so
let's see about getting to that other structure]
Re: TIME
[Do you swim?]
Re: TIME
But she wants to help. The thought of that renews her conviction. So she steels herself and jumps in, doggy-paddling toward where the violin sounds are coming from.]
Re: TIME
[And once you're submerged...]
[It's like a tidal wave, a sudden crushing loneliness. No one knows you exist, you're not important, if you die no one would miss you or know your name, it's like you don't exist don't exist don't exist.]
Re: TIME
Those feelings aren't hers. Hydra knows this like she knows she's right-handed, because her own loneliness is different. Her fears and phobias aren't the same as this. This knowledge comes from the wellspring of self and is irrefutable.
I exist. I am here and I exist. My name is Hydra and I EXIST.]
Re: TIME
[And it may be possible for her to realize that this is a lot of water. This is too much water for this to not be a frequently reoccurring thought.]
Re: TIME
She tries to keep her pace controlled yet constant.]
Re: TIME
[But she can reach the other structure without incident.]
[It will become apparent now just how OLD the building is, looking more in ruin than anything. There's also a symbol on the side of it.]
Re: TIME
GONNA SEE IF I CAN CLIMB!!]
Re: TIME
[You climb and it's....exhausting. It's really exhausting. You keep trying and trying, keep going forward, keep patient, keep HOPING, but it's never enough.]
[It doesn't matter how long you wait, what you want never comes, this pain, this cycle, it never ENDS.]
Re: TIME
But Hydra keeps going. She's not that girl any more and she knows it, just as she knows that to succumb to this exhaustion would end in doom rather than peace.]
Re: TIME
[There's the violin playing.]
[And you approach the other building! It's old though, very old, more akin to ruins.]
[And there’s Roxy, wearing a simpler outfit. She’s playing a violin.
Re: TIME
[She sits down once she's closer, breathing hard, drenched with seawater.]
Re: TIME
[And it's disturbingly apparently how tried and sad she is, standing there, and how she seems so very OLD.]
Re: TIME
[Heaving herself up slowly and walking over to touch her shoulder.]
Roxy.
Re: TIME
Re: TIME
She looks at Roxy's face, then goes for a hug.]
Re: TIME
[Defeated, almost. Also...]
[As soon as contact is made, you’ll feel something akin to a static shock. It’s not exactly painful, but you are hyperly aware of the point of contact. Of how warm the other is, how soft, and the sensation is dramatic enough to be rather distracting. The sensitivity doesn’t seem to want to fade anytime soon, and should it be prolonged too long, it wouldn’t be a surprise to be almost overwhelming.]
Re: TIME
You give better hugs than this, Roxy.

Re: TIME
Like everyone does.
Re: TIME
Don't treat me like I'm already gone.
Re: TIME
Re: TIME
Don't treat me like I'm already gone. That's not fair, Roxy!
