I too think they're completely both a strength and a weakness. Being forced to choose however, I find it a strength. Together we're capable of so much. Apart we will wither and become less.
I agree, but I worry that it may lead us down a path that will challenge what it means to have an emotional bond with others. Either way, I'm sure we won't enjoy the outcome.
