Understood. You believe that emotional connections are a strength. I am incapable of such a response, only a mostly accurate simulacrum of such. However, if was able to acquire the memories and chemical patterning of such a relationship from both sides, then my mimicry of such would become more accurate.
I need both halves of this relationship. It does not need to be romantic; a familial, or even a particularly strong friendship or professional relationship would be effective enough research data.
Just because you and Silver are... well, just because the two of you are here together doesn't mean we have to have you be victim to this thing's demands. We have a number of options before we have to decide.
[He doesn't know anyone here other than Obsidian and Silver so his own relationship with others is lacking. He wonders if there's anyone else he could have any kind of bond with that's here... No.]
What about the others? Do they know each other? Who else here has a bond that can be used?
[He knows there isn't much to be done. Obsidian and Silver are the obvious choice, but there must be some other option. But who? Should we refuse? Could that outcome even be worse than possibly losing both Obsidian and Silver?]
We always have the option of denying it. Have you considered refusing what it wants?
Round 2.
I need both halves of this relationship. It does not need to be romantic; a familial, or even a particularly strong friendship or professional relationship would be effective enough research data.
