sparrow's heart
You're free falling through the sky, faster and faster with nothing to slow you down. Your heart pounds in strange excitement and fear and just when you think you might hit the ground —
The wind catches you, slows your fall to a gentle float until you land on the ground as a mischievous laugh echoes in your ears.

Re: THE FOREST
[I will totally travel by tree branches, don't think I won't.]
Re: THE FOREST
Re: THE FOREST
[Let us travel by tree branches to follow that spoke. \o/]
Re: THE FOREST
After a couple minutes of travel, the trees seem to grow more scattered and the sound of a river comes from straight ahead - the same direction as the smoke.
Re: THE FOREST
[Ooooh, a river.]
[She'll climb down to investigate that.]
THE CAMP
Re: THE CAMP
[Roxy approaches though, waving her arm.] Hey there!
Re: THE CAMP
"Oh, Roxy!" She looks up and smiles wide as she waves back. "When did you get here?"
Re: THE CAMP
...though I'm kind of blanking on a name for you.
Re: THE CAMP
Re: THE CAMP
...forest is kind of sad for that,, isn't it?
Re: THE CAMP
She's quiet for a moment, fishing a couple graham crackers out of a bag at her feet. "It isn't so bad, most days. And it's been much better lately."
Re: THE CAMP
[She nods.] I'm glad to hear it. [Sparrow '^']
Re: THE CAMP
Trust neatly makes a handful of s'mores and offers Roxy the plate they're on. "..." She hesitates. "But when it is bad here, it is very bad."
Re: THE CAMP
[Because really, she still has to wait for Trust to eat first because Food thing.]
...it can be hard, when trust is betrayed.
Re: THE CAMP
Re: THE CAMP
But so worth it when it works out.
[Will eat one now.]
Re: THE CAMP
She smiles wistfully, licking a bit of marshmallow off her lip. "Like when we broke Rotten's game, back in the first month."
Re: THE CAMP
Re: THE CAMP
"It wasn't Takshaka. It was everyone, working together and trusting each other. We all saved the day." There's soft sincerity in her words, heartfelt belief.
Re: THE CAMP
....I wonder how many people here still remember that.
Re: THE CAMP
"...Very few, I imagine. And even fewer who believe we can achieve something like it again." Trust stares into the fire.
Re: THE CAMP
Re: THE CAMP
"...I want to. More than anything, I want to." She closes her eyes.
Re: THE CAMP
I think we can. We just....need to find the way to do it.
