What Katie did was wrong, and misguided. I'm sure she regrets hurting everyone the way she did, but even so, it's your right to forgive her personally or not.
We believed Yaksinis was benevolent, and then she turned out to be that. My first game with Nyssa was harmless, and if I had been in the frame of mind for it, it might have even been fun. The Dream Traveler had been nothing but friendly.
Over and over, Echoes we think are nice turn out to try to kill us. Maybe it's unfair, but we only have to be wrong once to get killed.
Well... so that's three echoes who turned out to be like that.
But... what about all the ones who have been nice? Who've never tried to hurt us? Sir Waldemar, Lilith, Songbird, the Little Witch and Knut and Isabel... Caretaker, Iota, Kanra, even Units and the cat-bird-lady. That's a lot right there alone, and I'm sure there must be more, lots more, who've never done us wrong.
... I know it's hard not to focus on the negative when it's... so bad. But there's still lots of good people amongst the echoes.
I don't think they meant harm, though. Didn't you hear when we were leaving? They stopped the game early because people were unhappy, and they asked us to give feedback to make things better for next time.
I guess it's possible. But... it's also possible we could get struck by lightning, or a bear could randomly eat us, or... any number of things. --Even if it's a lot more likely than a freak accident, I don't think it's healthy to dwell on it, or to let the fear of it dictate how you act.
