Probably something terrible for everyone. Considering the course of her world's history, we're all sitting on her equivalent of nuclear weapons, and the button is how we fire them at others.

And if we don't humanity will get torn to shreds by something else?

Something like that.

Or, more likely, by whoever did push the button.

It's supposed to save humanity...

She's really tricky. But that doesn't mean she always lies! She's just trying to trick us.

It sounds like 'MAD' to me.

"We're right! We have to protect humanity because they're evil! Press the button and wipe them out!" and everyone presses it and everyone dies.

Oooor, she's playing it straight and counting on all of us not to trust her, so by not pressing the button, we doom ourselves.

Or she knows that we know that she knows we don't trust her and we're not supposed to push it.

Ooooor rebelling in Nafuna's games just makes everything explode in a bad way?

I am uncertain going along with it is much better.

Speaking from experience, this is the kinda move that ends in disaster.

Considering how her games usually are, this seems far too much like a nuclear standstill, though.

We've already been through the industrial era, so this'd be what came next...

She's never tricked us, either...the risks of not doing what she said were always apparent.

Yeah, and the risk of not pressing it here is dooming humanity, which is us. That's pretty obvious.
