Rook takes a step forward and brings up the scythe, waving it around toward mister chainsaw as if he's going to try to swing at him to grab his attention so Coin and Cascade can get a head start. ]
[ well, he'll work with Coin to get on his back the best he can and hold himself up as he can. sorry for any blood and having to carry this waternerd in the first trauma game ... ]
[He's fine with this he's going to get Cascade settled enough to not fall before aiming to run and not hurt either of them with the scythe, glancing back to Rook to make sure he'll be alright]
Rooks leaps in the direction the chainsaw is also swinging while trying to jump back, attempting to twist himself out of the way. He figures if anything trying to duck it might have an unfortunate meeting with his neck. :') SO HE'S DEF NOT DOING THAT.
He's also taking a swing of the scythe at his legs. ]
The noise he makes is mixed between a cry out and a sharp sucking in of breath to try to force himself through it.
And it's probably good he feels like dropping anyway, because when he sees that chainsaw coming to his face, then he basically drops himself, ducking and also leaning his head back for good measure.
And depending on how close chainsaw asshole is with that swing, Rook's going to try to just SHOVE the scythe through his head straight up from under his neck. ]
[He's doing his best to not look back to Rook when he's told to keep going because he knows it'll make everything that much harder but he nods, continuing to run]
And then when he's sure the guy is dead-- though there's still a look of PARANOIA in his eye that he's going to get up again because seriously I've played enough Resident Evil, he'll get up and let that pain hit him a little more especially because OW HIS LEG? Thankfully that feels more like a small sting so it's not a biggie.
Using the scythe as as a cane of sorts to support his weight to quickly hobble over to catch up to Coin and Cascade, holding a hand firmly at his side. ]
We-- we can still walk. [ He glances to Cascade when he says that just so he can affirm. ] We'll just take it slow, together. And hope we don't run into something else like that.
[ steadying himself back on his two feet before hobbling back to Rook and he's going to look at his torso injury. and he's going to tear a part of his shirt off to press it against Rook's injury, sorry about the pain, bro ]
You should probably hold that on there until we're out.

Re: CORN MAZE
Hold on!
[Because he is definitely aiming to pull him to get on his back, free hand being the one to help keep him on there so he can actually. Y'know run.]

Re: CORN MAZE
His blow lands, and it slows the man down somewhat; regardless, he's going for his face with the chainsaw this time.]

Re: CORN MAZE
Keep going.
[ there's a pained sound in his voice ]
Rook's doing this so we can get to safety. It'd make what he's doing pointless. [ AND ROOK SHOULD KNOW THAT IT'S NOT JUST ABANDONMENT ]

QUICKLY.

Re: CORN MAZE
You can put me down now. It's safe.
Re: CORN MAZE
I'll take the lead this time.
[He's determined because no you guys stahp don't die and leave him alone he'll cry.
He's putting Cascade down now, though before handing the scythe in his hand off to him so he can get the chainsaw]

I was movin' pretty easy with that scythe before. Should we keep moving forward?
[Backtrack again... Path less travelled...]
Re: CORN MAZE
[ Slows down once he gets to them, taking a small breather. ]
He looked pretty down for the count ... but still. Let's not stick around just in case he ... decides to get back up.
[ Trying to adjust his uniform so it's not as tight on the wound. ]

Re: CORN MAZE
[ Smiling at him. ] Thanks.
Good thing I didn't duck instead!
