[The room you step into looks like it could be a miniature ballroom, complete with stained glass windows and vast, ornate mirrors.

Your team's column is set into one wall, easily accessible but as impregnable as ever. One of the mirrors may prove almost as interesting, if you can tear your eyes away from your trapped teammate. Through it, you are somehow able to see every other team's column and what is inside, though nothing beyond that.

The floor beneath your feet polished, patterned wood, inlaid with the pattern of a grand sundial in your team's colors. In the center of the pattern stands a pedestal, upon which sits a collection of colorful glass ornaments. It looks like there's room for other items, but there's nothing else to be found just yet . . . ]

[ And he reaches her, with Finch kicking and pounding on his back!

But it's too late. Halfway done is too much, and he's almost crying himself to see her in so much pain. ]

Stop! Sparrow, stop!

[barrette]

[ when she realizes how close he is, Sparrow starts running away from him, stitches getting sloppy since she isn't staying still.

she has to finish this, she has to has to has to, so Raven will have even the tiniest chance of being okay. ]

[swordedpast]

[ He just drops back to his knees and lets Finch fall to the ground again. There isn't anything he can do. None of his teammates are safe. Raven will die. Sparrow will hurt. Robin is hurting. Finch lost her happiness.

He makes a choked noise.

He can't protect them. ]

[barrette]

[ once she realizes he isn't chasing her anymore, she stops and hastily finishes stitching her mouth shut and then drops to her knees with a sound of pain.

her mouth hurts and trying to open it even a little hurts more, but that means... that has to mean she fulfilled the requirements, right?

Sparrow stands up, needle and thread still hanging from the corner of her mouth, and stumbles over to Swan with a hand covering the stitches. ]

[swordedpast]

[ He looks away, he can't bear to see her in pain and be reminded of how he's failed. ]

[barrette]

[ she keeps moving until she's near him, then drops to her knees again. Sparrow wants to apologize for hurting him, but that will have to wait until later. for now, she reaches out to touch his arm, a nonverbal plea for him to look at her. ]

[swordedpast]

[ Reluctantly, flinching a little, he turns to look at her. ]

[barrette]

[ she points from herself to him, then mimes a heart with her hands with a smile she can barely make on her face.

'i still love you.' ]

[swordedpast]

[ He shakes his head furiously, looks away again, and bursts into tears. ]

[barrette]

[ her face falls, her hands drop to her lap and the smile vanishes. Sparrow makes a quiet sobbing sound and hides her face in her hands. ]
