[When you come to, you find yourself locked in a small, cramped, antique elevator. One wall is covered with a large, ornate mirror, and a chandelier hangs above your head. The doors are made of metal and shut very, very tightly. The lights are off.]

[You hear two familiar voices echo distantly in your mind]

LET ME GO, Ǧ̲̖̩̞̣̲̌Ĩ͎R̞̩͎̝̍L̹̳̫̾͛Ȉ͙͈̬͐͒ͭ̄̌̊E̥̥̓ͨ!

I won't let you hurt them!

[Before you have time to say anything, the elevator suddenly jolts, before it begins to plummet. Your heart drops to the pit of your stomach as you fall, fall, fall, and then. . .]

[Suddenly it stops. You're thrown off balance, possibly to the point of where you crash into a wall or a nearby neighbor. All is silent]

[Maya is nowhere to be found]

[but the doors are stubborn. way stubborn, and way sticky. they don't move]

fine, what if he tries pressing all the buttons, then?? ]

[it's impossible to see the numbers or the letters on the buttons. they're all smudged, from years upon years of use]

[he presses one, and the button lights up underneath his fingertips. the elevator lurches]

[and then plummets again]

[ whoops.

DOWN WE GO AGAIIIIIN ]

[ oh give her a fuckin BREAK ]

[after about ten seconds of free falling, the mirror screeches to a halt again, tossing everyone asunder. but hey! at least you're all alive]

[poor Epona]

[ owwww.... ]

[ elbows him on her way back to her feet. ]

That was so dumb.

Then you do somethin'.

Did you consider not pressing all of the goddamn buttons at once?

[ looking towards the chandelier... aren't there supposed to be escape hatches in these things? ]

[it's difficult to see in the darkness, but she can make out the faint outline of an escape hatch on the ceiling, yes. it is waaaaaay high up, though. totally out of reach]

[ but what if you happen to be able to jump really high ]

[well then that might make it easier to get to the escape hatch, yes!]

[there aren't any handles or latches available for him to grab a hold of after he jumps, though. . . seems like the door won't open that easily]

[ what if he jumps up and tries to PUNCH IT OPEN

with his fist maybe or his SKULL IF HE HAS TO ]

[YOU ARE BRAVE, YATO]

[he punches the escape hatch, with his fist or his skull, and he can hear the sound of wood splintering when he does so. it might take a few more hits to break through]

[ GONNA KEEP JUMPING UP AND HITTING THIS THING UNTIL IT OPENS

FUCK YOU, ESCAPE HATCH!!!!!! ]

[way to use your head, bro]

[after a few tries, he manages to punch right through the escape hatch, broken wood cracking and splintering and raining down on top of everyone's heads. one the bright side, he has now created a viable exit]

[ lands back on solid elevator ground, turns to his compatriots. ]

Grab onto me and I'll get you guys out.

[ ...very hesitantly grabs Yato's arm. god damn it. why did it have to be this way. ]

[ MUSHY SHALL BE FIRST.

hops back up towards the ceiling, might be semi-flinging Levi up there. you can grab onto the edge of his makeshift hole and pull yourself up, right? ]
