returning with a slapdash flower crown in hand, and down a tiny topknot girl. might be for the best, at least for a little while. Wolfwood goes directly to the grave with only a sidelong, slightly sanded-down glance in Hel's direction, and places the crown on the empty ledge. with it, too, lays a silver cross on a silver chain.
[ there's a feeling of warmth swelling from something small and tender to something great as she lays the crown and the cross down on the grave ]
It's alright to be afraid. Death is the single-most distressing thing for mortals. This she knows from the "memories" she experienced by becoming me. But she forgets this because she wishes so to be strong.
[ the not!goddess moves forward and touches both the cross and the crown. ]
But it's most important not to let the fear of death make you forget the joy of life, however ephemeral.
[ you feel like you have done something very important here; and yet another butterfly materializes for you to take ]
[ sweeping the butterfly up with solemness. all this leaves a strange feeling in her, beneath that invasive warmth. it isn't anger, or sadness, but she wants to move. restlessness, guilt. she's only got one chance not to fuck all this up. ]
[ there is no argument; she merely nods her head, as though sensing star's intention to depart. but then, she should know when something has reached its end.

Re: THE GRAVEYARD
Flowers are a little scarce, as it turns out. Got any other suggestions?
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
[ that ain't the way they do it on Gunsmoke, after all ]
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
Flowers are traditionally what one would give, but... no. You may give anything you like. Food, drink, toys... anything you'd like, really.

The river, you said...

She's just a kid.
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
[ hel produces in her hand a small, golden triangular prism ]
Do you wish to understand?
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
but... what's a little more guilt, if this girl can come out the other side of this with a little less weight on her heart?

Re: THE GRAVEYARD
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
That girl... [ she pushes the prism back into Hel's hands ] really is too tenderhearted.
[ she could never be that strong. ]
Re: THE GRAVEYARD
[ she points to the cross on the grave ]

Hiyoroc's touched a lot of people's hearts. That's, why, when she dies... she'll still go living on, inside their hearts.
forgiiiiveee meeee
Hmm. Perhaps, if she hadn't felt that her influence brought so much pain, she would not need so much reassurance of this.
Re: forgiiiiveee meeee
She's silly, that Hiyoroc. It's totally the other way around.
Re: forgiiiiveee meeee
[ a small smile ]
I could name a friend or two of hers that is quite silly indeed.
Re: forgiiiiveee meeee
[but she should probably move on soon.]
