[ —an opening. both hands flying up to wrap hard around Hiyori's wrist, even as her ears ring and her jaw makes a cracking sound, pulling her in as close as she can. ]
[after releasing the butterflies, Daisy lobs a glass vial over towards Wolfwood--it shatters and sprays a magic potion that increases her speed and aim for a short period of time]
[ He'll let Yato do what he needs to do and sees what both Wolfwood and Vash are doing and immediately come to help. Panther will aim to grab a hold of Hiyori's midsection after both Wolfwood and Vash have gotten her wrist to hold her in place. ]
[ his priority isn't blocking attacks at the moment, it's making them. while his not-dad's thrusting forward with his weapon, Yato mirrors him, stabbing his both his swords towards Fujisaki's chest and side.
( still focused on the battle at hand, nothing else matters right now. and still encouraging yato in this faito. you can do it! don't give up! we can cut him! this is how we'll save her! )
[ Coyote's attempt to assist Silver in de-blighting is highly successful; the waterballoon breaks on the area with the worst damage, effectively curing it, and enabling him to hurl himself that much faster into the fray with Yato and !NotPapa. His interference knocks the "monk's" arm askew, so that the blow—meant to pierce a lung, or something similarly vital—glances almost harmlessly, making a small gash in his side the worst he gets for his trouble (unless he counts the destruction of a beloved tracksuit as worth crying over at this point). !NotPapa is not so lucky: he takes the blows in both his chest and side, unable to properly defend himself with Silver in the way.
MEANWHILE: The second round of butterflies released by Kofuku and Daisy home in on the masked Gatekeeper as Wolfwood and Vash successfully manage to hold her in place, first by the wrists, and then by THE BIGGEST BEARHUG she's probably ever had????--after the Gatekeeper apparently does a number on Wolfette's jaw. Again, as before, the butterflies grow in size, color, and strength—even larger than before this time, as the collective pep talks coming from Star, Panther, Natalie, and the like keep coming. Again, they slam home—this time able to target the mask much more successfully, now that she's not moving everywhere. It cracks under the successive blows. ]
[ Not!Papa coughs up a spray of blood almost instantly and sags forward, falling to the ground.
As the last magenta bird slams home into the mask, it splinters into several chunks, which fly off. As the last fragment of the mask falls away, hitting the ground with a hollow clatter, the Gatekeeper—who most certainly looks like Hiyori—seems to be freed, completely human (other than that tail) and completely whole. But also confused as she very awkwardly begins to return this hug. ]
I... Everyone? Just now... were we fighting?
[ she looks between you all, so very, very confused ]
