I don't want you and Mint to have to go through this like this if there's another way and you'd rather not have him do it. I know she won't let us avoid what needs to happen ... but I'm not just going to do nothing if there's even a chance it's possible.

[ He knows Viva is still wary about Cats. And he remembers Mint's expression around Coyote earlier. It's going to suck, but he knows it's sucked less in the past when they took care of things themselves instead of by an outside force. ]

I'd argue that ... and I know you're being threatened. If not outright controlled then told that we're all just going to die if you didn't do this. Don't do what she commands you to do.
