[ They step inside a lavish foyer, with maids and butlers working and gossiping behind their hands.

If you pay close enough attention, you'll notice they mention the bastard son and his BODYGUARD.

Otherwise, they pay you no mind. ]

[ The owner of the house is a powerful man, with a wife and a child. He keeps a woman on the side, though, and has a bastard son from their dalliance that is troublesome.

The staff seems to believe the master wants to kill the boy, since he hired him such a defective BODYGUARD.

[yep. he'll be checking the place out simultaneously, since he can do that with his Mary Sue skills]

[ The staff care little for the boy, but even less for the BODYGUARD. There's speculation that he's a MONSTER, or one of those damned TAGGED. One of them says she saw him KILL a man outside not even a few days ago.

There's some stairs that lead up, but otherwise nothing interesting on this or the next floor. ]

[ Down the hall are two doors, a deep red liquid leaking out from underneath. This one seems to be the source of the crying. Further down is another door, and you can hear the fluttering of curtains.

It smells like wine. ]

[yeah let's check that out]

[ Beware of glass, as there's a shattered bottle nearby.

If they heads into the room proper, you'll find a young boy with a black eye sitting at a desk, papers strewn around him. They have the handwriting of someone who is very young, and very inexperienced in writing.

He doesn't look up immediately when they enter. ]

[ He looks up, and squints his eyes at the tags.

They are puffy and red. ]
