not because she just died and that hurt like a mother, mind you.

but because she got in the way and misunderstood everything and--she's doing a really lousy job of keeping her promise to try not to die needlessly in games anymore

she is more than a little afraid that yukine is going to either be distraught or furious with her. maybe both. ]

he shakes his head, grip tightening on the back of her kimono. he was going to take the orb out in one piece, he thought perhaps that he needed to, to fix whatever the hell this was... but that was clearly a mistake. a terrible, stupid mistake.

well, he's not going to make it again. ]

[ she shifts her grip to hug him back a little tighter and stroke his back a little easier, since clearly he needs more comfort. it's probably a good thing she has no idea his thoughts are filled with MURDER although she can kinda guess ]

[ hesitates... but takes it, since the other replica's broken to bits. didn't do him a lick of good (the exact opposite) and this one probably won't either, but. he supposes having it is better than just leaving it here for anyone to take. ]
