( you feel. . . guilt. you see a memory. you're fighting on the roof of a hospital, fighting against someone that you know is a monster. yato, too, knows this. he fights carefully, afraid of what might happen to you if he connects you to that guy's weapon.

you feel guilt, you remember that you promised that you wouldn't let yato kill, but you know that's unavoidable now. it hurts, but you know yato knows this too.

you're struggling to fight like this, struggling to guide yato's hands, struggling to protect him. it's hard when you can't touch the staff! that staff! you haven't known it then, but you know it now.
