( circumstances have conspired to separate those who went into the maze, splitting them into three groups, with each group taking one fork in the road.

a wisp of light guides them forward, gleefully bobbing up and down, slowing down just enough so it doesn't lose those following it, then speeding off around the next corner as soon as they start to catch up. )

[y'all can fight all you want when feeling trapped, Maya scrambles to her feet and tries to go around Nyssabot as much as she can to get to the exit]

( claws and teeth are rending her apart, pulling at her skin and clothes to further expose the nasty mess of synthetic skin and wires. lyncis's attacks cause her to drop her whip to pull him off and swing him out towards regulus and iris. as soon as the cat is thrown, montage intercepts to slice her leg clean off. the wiring of her leg sparks and crackles.

she's barely standing by the time star gets close. nyssa flings her back into a pile of cash just seconds before rook comes flying, fist aimed at her fist. there's a sick rattling noise as the metal dents.

meanwhile, caracal grabs onto the discard basket that still contains one glassapple. )

BOSS ACTION

[soulping]

( heavy damage to the robot’s body causes electricity to spark freely. she remains on fire, producing noxious fumes that make one’s eyes tear up and one’s skin itch. but this is not the worst of it, not even close. as the pale, peachy covering that was her "skin" droops and sags away from her cheekbones, revealing teeth sharp like a shark’s and high metal cheek bones, something dark seems to swim up in those artificial eyes. Something neither organic nor inorganic. )

P-PluCk YoU bY HaNd…

( her jaw opens disproportionately wide to her head and, jerking robotically, she swings the monstrosity that is left of her head and fist at her attackers, still somehow inhumanely quick despite being on her literal and figurative last leg. )

[ Roll 1 or 2 to determine if you get HEADBUTTED (1) or PUNCHED (2). Characters who are headbutted will, in the moments before being subjected to the blow, find themselves face-to-face with her EVIL EYE, which fills them with a powerful sense of fear and the compulsion to RUN AWAY.
Characters who are punched will suffer from nausea, double-vision, and dizziness.
These effects will disappear at the end of the battle. ]

[ Well, he was stepping back when Lyncis is thrown their way. And then going back to check on him when sudden;y he's punched and kinda flies back more than afew feet. Because he's a twig. And he's already in panic attack so everything is just. Doubled all of sudden. ]

And he's seeing double, suddenly hit with a wave of nausea and threatening to fall over.

Even despite feeling that though, he knows he's still close to her, still close enough that even despite the double vision he can swing, he can hit...]

[Lyncis is just yowling, shaking his head and pretty much freaking out, as he tries to resist the urge to run. Oh yeah and his back is still bleeding a lot from that whip]

[ shoves her entire hand down the shark's maw, glassapple still clutched in it, leaving it behind to choke the robotic bitch, and then shoves herself the fuck away, fuck ]

[Fighting through the nausea and dizzyness, Montage grabs the leg she severed and swings it at the machine's head like a bat, trying to knock it off.]

CONCLUSION

( the final blow is delivered by caracal shoving a glassapple down her throat, causing a chunk of her parts to explode off her body.

"nyssa" falls to the floor in a sparking, half-melted heap. her head rolls back on her neck, and although the voice box hidden somewhere within her throat attempts keep choking out its terrible puns, all that it manages is this noise. oh, and a strange, sinister, sinewy black shape that slithers off into the darkness. but that’s not disconcerting at all, is it?

instead of a wild goose chase, she goes down in a heap and goes about stitching herself back together as the fear and paranoia abruptly let up, fuck, fuck, fuck... stemming the bloodflow from her nose with a spasmodically twitching hand. ]

[ Yeah, you thought the statuseffects were done. You did. But this kid was actually entering an actual panic attack and it's trying to go fullblown now as everything in the last few minutes begins to sink in. He teeters on his feet but tries to think of absolutely anything that doesn't involve fainting there on the spot. And not looking at anyone else both in panic and guilt and well. Let's. Try. TO. Think. ]

[Rook can make out some kind of strange moving image of darkness, but he's still too dizzy and double-visioned to make anything of it.

He briefly falls to his knees, bracing himself on his hands and bowing his head, eyes shutting to try and wait for it to pass.

And he lets out a deep breath of relief, releasing all of that panic and tension that built up through the fight, stinging in his leg barely registering.]
