[ This may be backstage, but in keeping with the usual tone of Fluffy's realm, it feels more like a vastly oversized cardboard box. In this case, there are also chairs, curtained-off dressing rooms, and...a closet? ]
A note is tacked to the closet: "Pick your most dateable teammate and dress them up however you desire to make them presentable! I hope you all enjoy yourselves ♥"
[ The closet is full of whatever sort of clothing and accessories you could possibly imagine, including but not limited to regal wear, casual attire, absurdly ruffly outfits, fetishy stuff like maid outfits/bikini tops with tassels on them, and even some positively esoteric stuff like giant prosthetic hands and magical socks that make your legs look unnaturally long. There's even cosplay stuff, including a number of cat ears and tails. Literally anything clothing-wise can be assumed to be in here. ]
[ You do not need to turn anything in this round; you'll be doing that on the main post in round two. The object is just to decide as a team who's going to be "auctioned" and how to best present them. ]
We might. Think ya can talk me up? I thiiiink I may go on pure me factor. [Because I am apparently a popular person.] But it wouldn't hurt to say things like 'this sexy diva knows how to have a fun time,' or something like that.
[On the one hand, WANNA BE CONTRARY. On the other hand he wants to be contrary probably because of his nature and he's not going to play into that!!! ...So he'll agree, but only to be contrary to himself!!!]
I can do that. I just say nice things about you, right?
A new note is tacked to the closet: "Now it's time to decide who you most want to date of the others offered ♥ You have been provided with thirty tins of tuna to use as currency in your bidding! Also, you may choose a Cat to accompany your date."
And that is vague and cryptic. You're doing a good thing. Not sure how that can trouble ya. Unless it has nothing to do with that? Which would seem weird.
I don't know if I'd say they're related, but I wouldn't say they're unrelated either. I'm probably overthinking it...
This guy said I only say words of justice and mercy. He said if there was a murderer who killed to feed his family I'd spare the murderer at the expense of law. He meant my choices aren't always good overall. I just don't want to prove him right.
It's the law that needs to be fixed. But people can't be allowed to murder either. What about the families of those killed? Their needs have to be taken into account too. The example being set for everyone else, the precedent being laid down.
I guess he was saying I can't see the bigger picture.
I dunno, I think he's missing some key stuff too. [Is...very thoughtful sounding.] Because if you kill the man, what happens to the family he was providing for? They die. Not only have you killed a man, you've killed his family.
Was the man right in killing? No. But what does killing more people do for setting an example? That you will not be forgiven if you break the law, nor those close to you, but the law will not help you. You've run a rule of fear.
The law kills to 'eliminate a threat.' But how is that different from a man who 'kills to feed?' In the end, it's killing to save lives. Except, when you kill a threat, it does become a slippery slope of what is a threat. For someone who kills to feed, if you can HELP him, he will feel no need to kill anymore.
Plus if you go at it that way...you can solve that problem even in a place with no law at all.
If you help him you tell everyone it's okay to murder if you think yourself righteous enough. He could have asked for help. Instead he took from others and cast their families aside to protect his own. What's to stop those families from turning to the same solution? The law might not have provided, but it didn't force anyone's hand. No man is an island and he should never act like it. When people do as they please with no regard for one another suffering ensues.
The law should provide, but if you cast it aside you destroy any help it might give.
[if he had hands he would be flipping a table right now. SO CONFUSED and sick and upset and just trying to understand things he can't understand for some reason...!!!!]
Humans...humans do stupid things. The more it hurts, the less they think.
[That's why, if it hadn't been for the reapers, he'd have died because of a human. Complicated feelings all over right now, wow this is bullshit.]
We should go meet up with the others since we made our decision.
[ You have thirty tins to bid with as a team; allot those to the other teams as you wish, and pick whichever Cat you most want to accompany your date. ]
ROUND ONE: PREPARATION

Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Are we doing more makeovers? We did that last game. I can't even wear any of this.

Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
No, no, for a DATE. A date is like...an evening spent with a person doing something romantic and fun.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
I can go. I think a date would be fun and if I dun like the person, I can punch 'em out.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Yep, I think so! Gotta make me the cutest I can be.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
That's not what unicorns are for. If it's cute we're going for isn't the stuff you have on now good enough?
[...Looks cute to him; he has absolutely no fashion sense.]
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Plus I like wearing pretty outfits.
[Digging through the closet now.]
[....putting on these cat ears.]
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
[Going through and pulling out this dress.]
How about this one?
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Oh my gosh. Pretty! And in the red spectrum of colors, yesssss.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Oh....
Oh, that might be an idea.
[Holds up her hair in pigtails. All those curls, man.] What do ya think? Might go better having it up with that dress.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
[Quiet for a moment and then going to the jewelry and picking out a few hairpins like these ones (except everything's gold
what am I doing idek).]Think you use these. The phoenix means you'll accomplish big things.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
And how about these? [This necklace and these earrings.] A little subtle splash of other colors and...they're lucky in a combo.
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION

Aaaaaand these shoes. [Here] To go with the dress. I think that should be all we need.
[I'm keeping the ears.]
Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION

Re: ROUND ONE: PREPARATION

But they both win often enough and will understand.
We can vote for Clover.
Re: DISCUSSION
Thanks. What about for Cats? I know Jack, but I dunno the other guy really.
Re: DISCUSSION
Jack is pretty hilarious and I've talked to Lion a few times. Cats in general is pretty new, but Jack did come later.
Re: DISCUSSION
It's nothing. Someone just told me I'm not always right. What a jerk. So we should go with Jack?

Re: DISCUSSION
I think the fact law had nothing in place to help a man who was forced to kill to keep his family alive just says the law is kind of broken.

But...I've seen the scenario ya described. In a place with no law.
And I think it takes a lot of strength and courage to try and be kind despite all the pessimism and fear.
[Getting up and heading for the door.]
Let's go.
