[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to find yourself crossdressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.]

NOTE: In this group, the parts of Kira Graves, Tod Mises, and Roger Mortis are unclaimed. ICly, Kira will have been unable to attend due to both of her children being ill. Tod simply refused the invitation because he thinks his dad is a jerk. Roger had a business meeting across the country that he was unable to get out of.

[You hurry upstairs, arriving to the sounds of rapid movement inside. You reach out to throw open the door...just as "Crim" and "Marvin" come walking out themselves, looking casual and holding a bundle of papers.]

"-Phil had good taste in charities, huh?"

[Says Crim. Past the duo, you see Phil's office in a state of slight disarray, at least one of the desk drawers having been completely turned out.]

Then he's an unknown.

[ looks a bit startled to see them. ]

Did something happen? Are Fin and Angela alright?

[ holding out a hand. ]

Hand that over. It belonged to my dear husband, didn't it?

[ Confused look as well. ]

We were just heading down to meet you. What's up?

They're both all right. We simply worried about the will ourselves and came to check on it ourselves.

We were just about to head downstairs to pass it to you. We got both the will and letters, which were the only things in the drawer.

He left a notebook for you, Dee, and a letter for Angela.

[ she holds out the papers. ]

We opened the envelope. Curiosity got the better of us.

[...carefully taking the papers, then holds them against his chest]

I see...Thank you.

...It may be better to bring it downstairs where everyone can read the will, as it is. We can't afford any chances for the murderer to try and alter it now, so we should all know what it says. Now, while we can.

[ A nod. ]

Yeah, it's probably best to keep it where there's always a constant eye on it and get it over with now.

We'll go downstair immediately.

We've managed to find the will and two letters, one for Dee and one for Angela.

We're going to read the will now so no one can change it and hide it.

Dee knew where it was, so Crim and I went up to the office to grab it before the murderer could get to it and change things around.
