RATATOSKR
[when you insert the key and open the door, you'll find another humble cottage - the space bends on the walls, but there is a single door that leads to another room; though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent. a wooden cradle sits in a plain room.
inside, a baby sleeps peacefully. when she stirs - calling for her parent, you are there to cradle her back to sleep.]

[slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby coos pleasantly, giggling jovially when you (presumably) make faces at her; she tries to pick herself up and falls over, but she does not cry; a disagreement between you and her lead to a thoughtful discussion; the young girl carries a large laundry basket to do chores; she buys a pet bird, looking so proud for having earned the money all by herself; then the wall becomes opaque.]
[in the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 stands, smiling at you. a bird with beautiful plumage rests on her shoulder.]
[this is your daughter. you tried your best to rear her, and she's been good to you. you know she is capable of anything if she puts her mind to it - even becoming a princess. but you also know it's not easy to become a princess - better she become a princess than go off to war, though. you could not stand to see your baby girl die on the battlefield. what will be will be, though - all you can do is try your best.]

MORAL DILEMMA
What do you do?]
Re: MORAL DILEMMA
[And then when they're home, will sit with daughter, take her hands, and look her in the eye for a talk.]
When your mother was growing up, she lived in a very bad place. There wasn't a lot of things around and it was very hard for people to survive. So mom had to do some things to help people survive. She stole food to feed the people around her and herself. She stole information in the hopes of taking down the people who were making life very hard. Because those people were selfish and it was their selfishness that hurt the people around her.
[Squeezing her hands.] There are times where it is right to steal. Not lawful, but right because it can help people who need it.
But to steal because of selfishness is bad. If you take just because you want, then you'll end up more like those people who hurt your mother's home. The ring may have been a trifle, but can you be sure there wasn't more value to it? To some, your bird could be a trifle, but you would be hurt if they were taken, wouldn't you? That's how stealing selfishly works. You take without really realizing what damage you're doing to others.
Don't let laws keep you from protecting your own life and others, but at the same time, you shouldn't abuse others just because you want to. You're capable of so much more of that. If you want something, you can earn it. Because then the trifles become valuable. It's like what happened with your bird, right? You certainly value them far more than you'd have ever valued that ring.

[!]
Early in the morning, your door is banged on; villages hired by the noble have come under his command to retrieve the boy's bird—a thief had come in the night and stolen his precious, precious pet. You are among the number one thieves, being that your daughter is alleged to be incredibly jealous of the noble's son, and has continually tried to get his attention before finally taking his most precious companion from him. He knows it must be her, because he'd noticed she was practicing climbing trees, and taking abnormal numbers of martial arts classes—plus, someone had seen them sneaking away with the bird.
What do you do?
Re: [!]
"Do you know where the boy got his bird? If it was the same shop as my daughter, it may be a clue as to who this thief is. Or if more pets have been stolen!" Of course, the boy didn't buy the bird. Roxy was more than willing to see how far she'd have to go because she wasn't going to fold first.
Meanwhile, Gloss will be....
