According to the schedule, it should be empty, but it wouldn't hurt to check. There should still be a Custodian around, too.

[but yes she'll go ahead and close her eyes to focus, this time trying to sense any sign of life on the surrounding few floors in addition to their own, just in case]

[You sense no one on the two floors below! On the two floors above you sense ten people on the emergency staircase walking down single file.]

There's someone there. Upstairs- ten people, coming this way.

I got the password. We don't have too long, so we'll have to make this quick.

How the hell- already?! Is there any way to seal off the stairs?

It's possible they called police the second people started disappearing into the elevator shaft, but let's not think about how they got here already.

Sealing off the stairs might not be possible, though we might be able to set a few traps with the rope to slow thing down. Our objective more than anything else is to buy time at this point.

[The ground 58 floors below stares up at you. You can also see the emergency staircase with ten police offers coming down it two windows over. For convenience you can face off with the police (or not) in Round 3.]

[The security door is unlocked! Inside you find a wall of TVs with a several VCRs attached. To the side is a bookshelf full of VHS tapes. There's a chair and a table with a box of Jo's Coffee and some donuts on a plate.]

Going to grab a bunch of the VHS tapes, maybe they're some form of currency?]

I believe I found something!

Ah, those are recordings. They record what's shown on the screens there so that people can look over them, later. The ones relating to us are the only important ones here, and they should be in the VCRs already.

[Swiftly explaining how to use VCRs! Or rather "push the eject button to make the tape come out".]

We only need the ones in the machine right now. And even then we can just throw them out a window or something.
