[The sparkly seems to be a rather large diamond. . . which is laying directly underneath a beam of moonlight]

[but there's something inside of it? It's glowing a bright red]

[Is someone shooting at you??]

[Cries out in shock and pain, free hand immediately jumping to the wound.]

[Jerks her head up, staring around oh god somebody just tried to SHOOT ME]

[. . . it's the man with the handlebar mustaches, and he's pointing his weapon right at her]

[. . .? The name is blanked out, but surely he means you]

[okay she could panic and freeze]

[ignores the pain in her arm to THROW THE POLICE BADGE AT HIS FACE AS HARD AS SHE POSSIBLY CAN]

Eat justice, you jerk!

[FOLLOWING UP WITH A TACKLE ATTACK!]

What the he--?!

[Is the only thing the thug says before he is clonked right in the nose by that badge. He stumbles back, drops of blood dripping from his nose. THAT BADGE WAS HEAVY THAT HURT]

[. . . and then Ed tackles him to the ground, and his gun goes flying]

[GRABBING THE THING maybe taking it away will unfreeze her.]

[SHE JERKS BACK out of reach before he can.]

[You hear it too, the deafening BANG that sounds like a gunshot, though Aoko is the only one grazed]

[If it grazed her but she isn't dead and there isn't a ricochet noise like it hit something else that means there's only so many places a shooter could come from. It's not above. It's not below.]

[LETS TAKE A WILD GUESS AT BEHIND AOKO AND SHOOT A THING PAST HER AT RANDOM.]

[GOOD THINKING ED]

[There's a deep, yell of surprise as the shooter steps out of the shadows. He's a scruffy looking thug, with a handlebar mustache and a fedora. And he's pointing his gun at Aoko while he rubs at a cut on his cheek]

What-- who are you?!

[Now he looks confused]
