That's not too surprising, I suppose. I'm still not nearly as good as I used to be.

Something like that, yeah. I'd be able to make it more vulnerable, teleport multiple times without concentrating, and absorb hits better.

This was pretty obviously a Blue, so I was kind of specialized in fighting these kinds of things.

Ah, my world sorts things into color. It's kind of complicated and I've told Vetoed about it before, but...

Basically, it's a sorting system for Ethereals like myself, though it applies to other things as well. Blue types are generally a lot like the raven we just fought, while I'm a Black type, which basically means that it's easier for me to resist their attacks, while I could easily break through their defenses. On the other hand, I'm in a lot of trouble against a Green type, as it's easy for them to resist my attacks, while they can easily break through my defenses.

I guess that kind makes sense? Like an elemental type system?

It's essentially an elemental system, yes. Greens tend to have nature and healing abilities, while reds tend towards firey and explosive abilities. Blues tend towards ice, water, disruptive abilities, while blacks like me tend towards speed and weakening an opponent.
