[Kaito's Heart]
[A gust of wind rushes past you, so strong that you nearly stumble backwards from the force. You hear whispers in your ear, an unfamiliar voice saying, no, not here, not now, go back, before your senses shut off entirely]
[You wake up again to find yourself in a room]
((#dragonheart on IRC for this heart party aw yeah))

Re: PLAYER ACTION
[ow. ow, ow ow ow owowowow. If she was awake enough to mumble, she's awake enough for that to draw a garbled cry of pain from her. FLINCHING HEAVILY . . .]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Sorry, sorry, just-- hang in there for a little bit, okay? We're almost done. . .
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
It needs to come out, Aoko. The pain will go away once I take it out.
Re: PLAYER ACTION
C-Can't—wait . . .
Re: PLAYER ACTION
. . . I can't, I need-- I c-can heal you, but I need to take this out first.
I can do it quickly, Aoko, but you need to let me.
Re: PLAYER ACTION
W-Wait.
[It's a ragged gasp, half pleading, half demanding. With effort—she's still hanging onto consciousness by the barest thread—Aoko loosens her grip on his wrist and makes a grab for his other hand, resting her palm over the back of it and weakly, jerkily curling her fingers . . . almost like she's trying to lace fingers with him.]
[She turns her head away and burrows a bit into her scarf, biting down on it.]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
[oh]
[hesitating for a moment when her hand brushes against his, his breath hitching in his throat. But he gathers up his determination and shifts his hand slightly so he can lace his fingers with hers]
[. . . and then, quickly and without warning, he yanks the shard out of her shoulder]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
[It should be noted that he's doing all of this with a hole in his stomach too, but hey, Clover healed it so it's at least not bleeding anymore. . .]
[he discards the mirror shard, then presses his hand tightly against her shoulder]
I've got you. . . I'm gonna take you somewhere where you can get healed, all right?
Re: PLAYER ACTION
[NOT EVERYBODY HAS A PHANTOM THIEF'S PAIN TOLERANCE.]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
. . . all right. I'm gonna move you now, okay?
[he reluctantly disentangles his hand from hers, snaps his fingers, and whisks her away. . .]
[depositing her right into the save point ofc]
