[As you step through Castling's mirror, you end up in a large, bright and blinding white space. It's so bright that it's difficult to see anything the first few moments. Your eyes will probably hurt a lot.]

[as you turn, the scene changes slightly, and you see Rook hastily ushering Castling back to his spot by the wall. you feel like... something is approaching. it's probably for the best to get out of here for now]

This is a bathroom! It seems to be an on suite to the Gold room. Inside, a slightly older Castling is in the middle of braiding Rook’s hair. Rook is kicking his legs and moving around and generally not making it easier for his companion to do his duty.

Strangely, the only mirror in this is bare aside from... a lonely broken shard, would you look at that?

[the two suddenly look up as you speak, confused at your presence. Castling in particular looks ready to protect Rook, should he have to]

You walk straight into a game of chess. Rook on one side, Castling on the other. It seems like Rook is the one currently winning the game. In his joy over the victory, Rook manages to knock one of the white rooks to the floor without noticing. It rolls some ways and comes to a stop close to you. If you pick it up, you’ll see something glinting on the floor in front of you.
