I came to help knowing that it could be dangerous, and because I wanted to stop the hurt you were feeling. That was more important to me than anything, because you're more important to me than anything.

It's okay if I get hurt a little. It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, or failed. Sometimes it's hard to avoid, even though I tried my best to do that. But as long as we both do that ... you don't have to feel so bad about it when it happens. You can get hurt for me, and I can get hurt for you ... but don't blame yourself for anything. Because I know you'd do and feel the same thing for me. Because we're the same.

[he weakly hits at the mirror]

So focus on that, instead. What's here now, instead of an outcome that never happened. We're both here, we're ... both hurt a little. But we have each other to lean and rely on.
