Canis's heart

The moment you step through the mirror door, you seem to - slip, as if the floor were made of wax, but when you fall there is no floor to catch you; only darkness.

You fall for some time. Eventually, it feels as if you're not falling at all - but rather, floating . . . and some time after that, it almost feels as if you have no body at all. The light from which the entrance of Canis's heart is disappears quickly, and you're left with nothing - not even your own screams, if you have any; nothing seems to leave your throat, and there's no sound at all, besides. Even the rushing of wind is gone, and your own pulse seems to fade away. . .

. . . what penetrates your consciousness next is the soft sound of music. Someway or another, you find yourself on a white platform; you're dressed in plain clothes of your team color, all items gone from your person. In front of you, four stones float; all perfectly square and identical to each other. Each have images - a sword, a staff, a bow and arrow, and a sparkling circle . . . you understand what you must do.

There doesn't seem to be any imminent threat or anything, if that's what you were concerned about. The plates of armor are totally still, totally inanimate, not alive at all.

The doors seem to open inward, if you care to try it.

They're very difficult to push open! You'll have to use all your strength to do it, as they're incredibly heavy, and - when you do, the swords both swish down, as if attempting to slice whatever hand on the doorknob there is . . . but of course, if you're bodily pushing it, you'd better move away quick.

The swords barely swish against your clothes, cutting them and a little tiny bit of your hair. Oh well, at least you saved your everything else - and thankfully your wings aren't out, huh? That would have been really dangerous.

The room you enter is dark, vast - like a temple, open with pews along the sides and an altar at the front. Although candles line the walls, none are lit except the ones at the altar, and it's so cold. . .

A figure kneels in front of the altar, in prayer. Besides that, there is no other person here, it seems.

. . . . you can but they're just going to start swinging their swords at you when you even poke your head out - though interestingly, the swords never go into the room or past the door, however.

[ jesus christ. HE. POKES HIS HEAD OUT OF THE ROOM but it quick to dodge back inside because fuck that. fuck them. maybe he'll just stand inside the door for a moment and point threateningly in their direction. ]

They don't seem to say anything. They don't seem to care, really.

They don't seem to be listening - rather, they're completely enamored with what they're doing right now.

And jeez, you should be quiet; service has started and this is a church.

The person slaps his hand away, rising to his feet . . . through the stained glass's light, you can see it's Canis. He looks a bit irritated, and he's not dressed in Barghest's uniform either - rather, he's dressed in the left outfit.
