Canis's heart

The moment you step through the mirror door, you seem to - slip, as if the floor were made of wax, but when you fall there is no floor to catch you; only darkness.

You fall for some time. Eventually, it feels as if you're not falling at all - but rather, floating . . . and some time after that, it almost feels as if you have no body at all. The light from which the entrance of Canis's heart is disappears quickly, and you're left with nothing - not even your own screams, if you have any; nothing seems to leave your throat, and there's no sound at all, besides. Even the rushing of wind is gone, and your own pulse seems to fade away. . .

. . . what penetrates your consciousness next is the soft sound of music. Someway or another, you find yourself on a white platform; you're dressed in plain clothes of your team color, all items gone from your person. In front of you, four stones float; all perfectly square and identical to each other. Each have images - a sword, a staff, a bow and arrow, and a sparkling circle . . . you understand what you must do.

[ while Mira does that, keeps Sirius occupied, Sparrow tries to hit Aquila with Sarcasm. ]

Sirius jumps backwards, before diving back in to deliver a punch of his own.

Meanwhile, Aquila flinches at the Sarcasm — though she does send a coil in Sparrow's direction, because how rude.

[ ducking down as fast as he can before he lurches forward, arms moving to wrap around sirius as he tries to tackle him to the ground. ]

[ CRAP, trying to dodge while pulling Devotion along (and shielding him if necessary), while hitting Aquila with Punishment this time. ]

DIRECT HIT, it causes her to stumble backwards, and her grip on Lupus loosens just a little.

Meanwhile, Sirius is able to be tackled — though he bodily attempts to roll Dark over.

[ shoving a fist into sirius's ribcage--or attempting to, at least, as he braces his weight against his knees on the ground. ]

[ following up with another hit of Punishment, hoping to at least distract Aquila. ]

That doesn't stop Sirius. He's intent on flipping Dark over, even if it takes a few hits to do so. He even kicks out at Dark to try to do something to him.

The Punishment works, at least. A distraction! The grip loosens again, though Aquila sends another coil darting out towards Sparrow.

[ well the kick. hits?? ]

I'll fix ya up later, a'right?! [ and raising the sword in his other hand, to slice through sirius's middle. ]

[ jumps back again, still guarding Devotion bodily, though she freezes once she sees what Mira is going to do before catching herself.

it's the infection's fault Canis' heart is in danger, so the sooner they get rid of it...

another cast of Punishment and then Sparrow tries to call out; ]

Lupus! We need you, please wake up!

The only thing that next Judgement does is piss off Aquila, really. She rocks backward, before sending a flurry of coils in Sparrow's direction—and a Sleep at Dark. Why are you hurting Sirius.

Meanwhile. Sirius cries out in pain, before punching Dark in the face.

[ IT'S NOT LIKE HE WANTS TO HURT HIM. he lets that punch hit and just d r o p s the sword, leaves it beside sirius as he tries to get himself back up, planting a foot against sirius's chest except--oh, damn.

sleep sure is tempting about now. ]

Mira, don't fall asleep! Please!

[ she tries to knock herself and Devotion to the floor, this time casting Sarcasm at Sirius. ]

Another Sleep is cast — this time at Sparrow, considering how annoying she's been to Aquila.

Sirius can only groan in pain, even as he tries to throw Dark off of him with his injuries.

[ he's--cclose to falling over but manages to not fall asleep just yet. instead he bends an arm, moves to shove his elbow directly against the pressure point in sirius's neck with the intention to knock him out. ]

[ shit, no she won't let this knock her out-

she slaps herself in the face, trying to force herself to stay aware. ]

T-That's... I won't let you beat me with a cheap trick-!

[ TRYING TO... SPAM PUNISHMENT AS LONG AS SHE CAN, while she fumbles for the water she got at the port to splash herself with. STAY AWAKE DAMMIT ]

The Punishment spells only manage to hit a wall of writhing, black coils — Aquila throws one up to protect herself, even if a few manage to get through before the wall's formation.

Dark does manage to knock Sirius out. Good job!

[ ok but where's his victory music. grabbing onto his sword once more to charge aquila. ]

[ SPLASHING HERSELF WITH WATER TO KEEP AWAKE AND STANDING UP SHAKILY, before trying to pull Devotion to his feet and use the MP potion she has. ]

Devotion pulls himself up, steadying Sparrow if necessary and keeps her a little ways away from Aquila while she downs the MP potion.

You don't get victory music for a boss battle minion, Dark. :( He will also run into the dark, coily wall.

Successful MP potion downing! That doesn't stop Aquila from hiding behind her wall of protection.

[ rude as shit. SWINGING HIS SWORD AT THIS. PROTECTIVE THING?? fuck this wall in particular. ]

[ she needs to watch her MP for now, she knows, so she... really can't do much but watch for an opening and attack it at the first opportunity. ]

Look for any cracks or places the black stuff meet! That's where there'll be weaknesses!

[ are there cracks. AIMIMG FOR THOSE, MAYBE?? ]

The spells that made it through as the coils were forming managed to leave some cracks as they passed through.

Dark's sword, targeting the cracks, breaks down a portion of her wall- Just enough to get an attack or through to.
