[Inside the large team-colored room there’s equipment for storyboarding, props, posters, or anything else you could possibly think of or need to make your pitch. VP-tan is also on hand to answer any questions you may have.]
Yeah, the cute animal sidekicks are overdone... okay, so how about the traitor double agent who dies redeeming herself.... a serious edgy lone wolf type like you who's the rival, and a cute girl who's a firecracker? Maybe your character is looking after her.
Oh, and the villain has to be a close former friend turned evil!
It appeals to me. [and he is the only audience that matters]
I suppose that makes you the firecracker, does it?
[draws a line from the Samurai to the Goal, the latter of which he writes "reuniting with his family" underneath.]
Why are these people working with the samurai to start with. What's their common purpose? You said he's the last of his kind, so it's not that kind of solidarity.
Nah, I was thinking more like Schooler. If we put me in there, I'd just steal the whole show because I'm so cool!
[Sure let's go with that]
It's a twist! And we have to appeal to those guys, not you!
And.... they're working with him for their own purposes. The girl wants to learn how to control her powers, the traitor probably acts like they have a common goal, and, um...
Maybe where his family is is really dangerous, and they all want to get there, so they work together?
[makes a branch from the line about two-thirds along, and writes down "Traitor reveals themselves, fights the samurai and unleashes a monster on them, but gets killed by it in a misguided attempt to stop it when she realises she can't control the beast".
honestly that's the best compromise you're gonna get.]
They could be imprisoned, as a way of drawing the samurai out. So they can finally destroy his kind once and for all.
Oh, that's a good idea! Imprisoned on a dangerous land, far away.... it turns out that his old friend was behind it, because when he went evil he started to hate everything the samurai standed for and wanted to kill the last other one himself!
What about for a twist, they got corrupted and forgot what being a samurai stands for.... so he tried to stick to his guns, but then he totally lost it and started to hate them and everyone...
When he faces off against our main character, he sees what he lost because of the corruption... but it's not enough to get him to totally change.
Maybe he does get a redemption, or at least a sequel because the fand want him to kiss the main character, but we should leave everyone is suspense about how it ends.
Night falls, and a single man makes his way across a barren and devastated land, the last samurai, searching desperately for his family! His kind has been wiped out, his family imprisoned in dangerous lands, and at first he can only wander, trying to find them!
But things become more complicated, everywhere he goes people are suffering necause of one thing or another, and his samurai code of honor requires him to save everyone he can! It's a struggle, balancing his duties with wanting to save his family, and he's got to fight baddies and fix cities along the way!
He's not alone. The dangerous terrain he's headed for requires other people determined enough to want to go there, and they all have their own reasons and backstories you have to watch for following him, even though they become an unlikely team at the end!
Panther, his beatiful love interest who was really a traitor all along... she was leading him straight to his death, but qhen the time comes for her to unleash her powers on him... she summons a monster to difficult to control, tries to save him, and dies in the attempt!
Wolf, his hardcore and devilishly handsome, occasionally shirtless, rival! [There's one for the shippers] They butt heads a lot because of Wolf's lone him status and wanting Lone Wanderer to be less of a goody two shoes, but he's a good guy deep down abd is guardian to a young fiecracker named Fang who needs to learn to control her powers... and her sharp, witty tongue...!
Finally, as they work there way to the man holding Wanderer's family hostage, Nightfall... it's none other than his devastatingly handsome childhood samurai friend! [There's another one for the shippers] Driven insane by the corruption of the other samurais, he killed them all and kidnapped Lone Wanderer's family in an attempt to draw him out to really wnd the samurais once and for all!
But as they fight, Nightfall sees hus old friend, a man like he used to be! Will they fight to the death? Will they make amends and make out! The only way to fjbd out... is to watch Wanderer, of course!

...that's just going to slow him down more.

So either we make it a woman and she's the love interest, or he's the guys that all the fans want our main guy to kiss...

I'm going to have to give you a crash course in TV after this....

[circles "Samurai" and draws some lines out with more words - "Traitor", "Love Interest", "Rival".]
And I'm saying right now, we're not adding animals to this.

I mean your character type! The one that's like you.

Why did the friend go 'evil'? Did the samurai order betray him, or reveal themselves to have ugly intentions?

[writing that all down on the chart. then inserts some arrows along the line with "minor battles" written on top.]
I think that should do.

[And by we she means you]

If you say so. But since you're more invested in the story, you can do the talking.
