The better your clothes, the more opportunities you get in a place like this. If we wanted we could spend most of our money on clothes and probably get an offer for a higher paying job that's less dangerous.

I don't want to stretch food if we can help it. Skills are off and the mines aren't an easy place to work. We'll need the strength.

Mines aren't for food and they're not near places you grow food. 1800 is the budget we'd need to satisfy ourselves. 900 is what we can live on.
