ALECTRYON

[There is a desk in the room in Alectryon green. On it are several sheets of paper, a pencil, eraser and a book on Rain Forests. It seems the area you have been given in the game is a Rain Forest.

What kind of trap will you design?]

You're right.

A cage trap instead, then? A row of them could be set up to completely halt progress.

They'd need to be well-disguised, but that could work.

The canopy in rainforests seems to be thick, that could hide them well enough.

Hmm, and... instead of vines that turn to snakes, vines that tie people to the trees instead? It would keep them from continuing.

You want to drop them from above once triggered, then?

And that would be more effective, yeah. A good, nonlethal way of hindering others' progress.

Mmhmm. The canopy seems like the only place that could hide them effectively.

If it's raining, that'll help obscure anything above as well.

...We might also be able to use some of the plants here for their medicinal purposes, if we wanted. I think curare is tropical.

What does it do?

It paralyzes muscles, I think. In high doses it could be used to cause suffocation, but in milder ones it's been used with anesthesia to keep people still.
