Er, not really... [ though it's a little hard to tell how we feel about anyone other than our girlfriend. dragon. ] And since it's "no matter the cost," we can't just... leave, either, I guess.

Well, one possibility, if we're imagining up things, is some sort of transformation accessory. Something that can fit on the dragon. With its hoard, it could easily pass for a prince, who could ask for our hand in marriage.

That's a possibility too, of course, but hoard doesn't guarantee anything we can imagine, but any shiny thing we can imagine. So it's a question of... Would the potion or scroll be shiny?

Technically speaking, we're not just changing the dragon. We're changing the dragon, then converting the dragon's wealth into political clout. The next move would probably be an appeal to emotion with the parents, insisting that you really do love this mysterious noble that came out of nowhere. If that still doesn't work, well...

We can always fake our deaths. The dragon should have enough resources for that.

If the dragon is okay with it, it could be "the noble that single-handedly saved us from the dragon."

B-But transformation and faking deaths is an option, too. I don't know that I'd want to try to win over people who can't be reasoned with without... all this.
