THE RIVERBANK

You reach the riverbank. There's a slightly steep hill leading down from the road to the bank proper, and the river itself. To your left, there is a very large sakura tree. It seems there's someone underneath it. To your right, there's a large field of flowers.

[ That's sure a gorgeous sight to behold there on both sides. But might as well start with the person, wandering over in that direction to have a little chitchat. ]

Not exactly!

[ It's Roc, dressed thus. And she's not alone: with her is an enormous dog in armor, a young woman in a suit, a floating girl, a woman with a skeletal body, and a gigantic dragon.

It looks like they're set up for a party: set up for a picnic:a tarp's been spread out and from the looks of things, they've prepared for a whole crowd; there are packed lunch boxes full of what is probably hand-made food inside, thermoses of tea, even sake. ]

[ Well he comes (or perhaps finally wakes up?) someone who has no idea what's going on but eventually finds himself in the field sitting along side the rest of them. Confusion is putting it lightly but the company isn't too bad and honestly, good food with good company is generally just...good.

Especially when he rises to feel that rush of warmth and gratitude. Not a bad way to wake up and join the party. ]

But really, he's relieved to see Panther finally conscious, so to speak, or at least moving around in spirit-ish form. Oops, his tail might even be a tell that he's more relaxed. ]

Seems we're here to help her out. [ He'll give the details when not right by the Echoes and Hiyori, just play along for now, Panther. ]

She was just telling me about how the Echoes have helped her out.

[ And you bet he's got himself some coffee about now, offering some to Panther. Not strong on the bitter. ]

[ Ah, yes, the flirting that starts right away and waits for no one. He's going to be taking the cup of coffee and allowing things to just roll off of him for now. Yeah, there are a lot of things he wants to know (tail being the first and foremost concern) but if he's here to help Roc then, well, no need to tell him twice. ]

[ at least somebody's having a good time. even if under these circumstances. following at a far more lax pace, she pauses at the edge of the field; watches Maya gathering flowers hand over fist. this could almost be an Eden... is that strange?...

the pause lasts only a second or two, after which Wolfwood bends to pick her own handful of flowers. she makes a slit in each stem with her thumbnail, and weaves them into a wonky crown. ]
