AMALTHEA

[When the game starts you find yourselves on a platform. At least this part is pretty relaxing as it's large enough to fit a table with six (or seven) chairs around and that may be the place you want to sit at for now. There's several pieces of parchment laying on the table and a box in the center.

Of course, if you were careful you might want to pay attention to what's before you. Because immediately after the platform is a slide that ends in a pit of water? That turns into a dark forest. In what looks like a mile across is another large platform, presumably the end. Though that's all you can see right now.]

...Well. It is not as though we were doing anything in particular, was it?

[ patting the horse in thanks when they arrive, hopping off of the chariot.

Aaaand when they get to the person, Rook leans in toward Belt and lowers his voice. ]

I wonder if this was his, or if he's just passing by, too...

[ glancing down at the items they're holding. ]

I can hold onto the shield and stand closer to him to help get it out of the way, just in case. You can hold onto the hook at a safer distance and help, too.

[ a pause, and a small smile. ]

In the event that this is some kind of trick. But let's hope it's not.

Of course. There is little reason for this person to trick us at this point, save base hostility. If he opts to do that, I shall simply shove a torch into his face.

[It might be unsettling how she's smiling when she says it, but she is agreeing with you, Rook...]

You never know...!

But, before we opt to set him on fire if he tries anything, I remember enough about fighting that punching him in the face might suffice. That's why I suggested staying closer to him.

[ pulling the shield up, then, and discreetly slinging it over the shoulder on the side that'll be facing the dude.

Straightening up after that, and smiling over at the stranger! ]

We'll help you! We need to pass, too.

[A small nod.] Very well. Setting his face on fire is a last resort only.
