You tap the screen, and the computer hums to life all around you. A grainy mechanical voice echoes throughout the room.

"Finally! I was wondering when you dolts would wake up!"

"Hey, nevermind those questions! I've got more important information I've gotta give you guys right now. So don't worry 'bout it, yeah? Just sit back and listen!"

What a nice, strange computer voice this is.

"Name's Control. Just Control, and I'm here to help. Command has been looking you guys forever! Look, you’ve got to move — you’ve gotta get out of there now. I’ve got a pin on your location and I’ve put a call through for extraction, all you need to do is make your way to the LZ. But … god, I’m sorry, you’ve got company. The Insurgents are there, too."

[She feels like she's not very good at trusting people, so she looks at the computer dubiously.]

We need to know the situation before we go anywhere. What and where is the LZ, and who are the Insurgents?

If we are as important as you are implying, we cannot go in with nothing at all and in our pajamas.

The voice lets out a frustrated noise.

"Insurgents! Terrorists, bad news, you get the drift! Avoid 'em at all costs if you can, otherwise you might get hurt, and I'm here to prevent that. I don't have time to explain more or they'll get to you before you've got time to escape!"

"Whatever they did to your heads has really jumbled you all up, if you're asking what LZ means. It's Landing Zone. It should be beyond that locked door. Make your way out, and fast!"

There's a sense of urgency in Control's words.

Make our way out of a Locked door? Any chance you can open it for us, make things a bit easier?

[Seems she found some snark somewhere in there. Turning to the rest of the room, she raises her voice slightly.]

Hey, guys, whether we want to believe it or not, we're getting company. We probably should get the hell out of here at least. I don't think I trust this computer as far as I can throw it.

"Man, trust me, if I could open that door I would've done so already. Security on these computers is pretty tight. I'm just glad I got through this terminal and can let you guys know that help is on the way."

A huff.

"Anyway, I'll leave you guys to it. I'll be checking in every so often, so like, don't get killed, all right?"

Alright. At the moment, getting out of here is probably the best option, either through that window or the door.

[She goes over to the door itself to examine it.]

We could find a way to break the window and head through it if we really don't trust it. There's some kind of office on the other side.

At the moment I think out is the best option, whether the door or the window. Can you look for something to break the window? I'll look for something to open the door with.

Yes. That's important. If the thing is right and we do have people after us, we need to be able to defend ourselves. Can you find other things we might be able to use for that?
