[Lifting the grate requires some elbow grease, but she's successful. Tuning fork is in a small notch on what looks to be a giant piece of machinery, crackling with electricity. She will have to get on her stomach and reach past her line of vision to pull it out successfully.]

[ Grabs her handy dandy cape again and wraps it around her hand, in case it's hot, before laying flat on her stomach and reaching for it. ]

[Even through the cape, the rod is difficult to keep a hold of, and Garnet will find her fingers and palm being burnt rather badly as she grabs on.
