GULGALLANA & TIAMAT
[You exit the parlor through a doorway in your team's color and find yourself in some kind of entry hall. Aside from the one behind you, there are four doors - one on each of the side walls, and two opposite the entrance - each with an image carved into it. They're a bit hard to make out, however, since only one torch on the far wall is lit, lending the place a gloomy atmosphere. What you can see is that the room, once richly decorated, is now a mess; the walls are covered in peeling, royal purple wallpaper, and great swaths of the ceiling are coated with sticky cobwebs. The floor is covered with large marble tiles, inlaid with some kind of swirling design in glittering gold - but sadly, it too is out of shape. The tiles seem to shift a bit under your weight, and some of them are even missing altogether.
If you try the doors you'll find that all of them are locked, and no amount of manhandling can get them to budge.]
[OOC: This game is a treasure hunt/dungeon crawl! Your characters will be exploring the rooms they pass through and facing different challenges in each one. Some rooms will be exploratory, others will have specific rules! The goal is just to reach the end. Teams will be scored on things like teamwork, cleverness, creativity, etc.
Skills are ON, but there will be penalties if you mess up Knut's castle. He lives here, you know!]

The couch had a bunch of things: coins, a receipt, shoehorn, but they're all oversized like everything else in the room. Got back a few toothpicks, though.
[ He nudges them with his foot, about four of them piled on the floor. ]
But there's this weird copper thing. I have no idea what it is, but thought it might be important.
[ And pulling out the properly sized wedge from his pocket to show it. ]

Your teammate found another hole, though it also looks like someone tried to seal it with boards. I think we should go that way. 'M not sure we can make it through the door.
[holding out the toothpick with a grin]
We can use these to pry the boards away.

[ He puts the wedge back in his pocket and picks up two toothpicks, one in each hand. ]
Don't know how strong these might be against boards, but let's give it a shot. There's a whole box of these so we can break as many as we want and still have more.

[Nods at Cut, then makes his way to the hole behind the trashcan that Diz revealed. TIME TO TRY PRYING THESE BOARDS AWAY. with toothpicks]

. . . all right. The shoehorn next?
no subject
... Yeah, sounds good. I'll lead you there.
[ Cut will take him to and up the couch, then fetch the shoehorn. It's much bigger than what they are used to but they can try to carry it together. ]
There are coins here too, if we want to take them just in case.

We can come back for 'em if this doesn't work. It had better work. Are those boards super glued on or something? Geez. . .

[ Back down there with this shoehorn and to DESTROY THOSE BOARDS ]

In fact, it's the opposite of unusable. Once you get it into the proper leveraging position, it works excellently to pop the rest of the boards off! The way is clear!]

Finally. Let's keep going!
[through the hole they go!]
