[You exit the parlor through a doorway in your team's color and find yourself in some kind of entry hall. Aside from the one behind you, there are four doors - one on each of the side walls, and two opposite the entrance - each with an image carved into it. They're a bit hard to make out, however, since only one torch on the far wall is lit, lending the place a gloomy atmosphere. What you can see is that the room, once richly decorated, is now a mess; the walls are covered in peeling, royal purple wallpaper, and great swaths of the ceiling are coated with sticky cobwebs. The floor is covered with large marble tiles, inlaid with some kind of swirling design in glittering gold - but sadly, it too is out of shape. The tiles seem to shift a bit under your weight, and some of them are even missing altogether.

If you try the doors you'll find that all of them are locked, and no amount of manhandling can get them to budge.]

[OOC: This game is a treasure hunt/dungeon crawl! Your characters will be exploring the rooms they pass through and facing different challenges in each one. Some rooms will be exploratory, others will have specific rules! The goal is just to reach the end. Teams will be scored on things like teamwork, cleverness, creativity, etc.

Skills are ON, but there will be penalties if you mess up Knut's castle. He lives here, you know!]

[You shimmy up the leg like an expert and scramble onto the endtable. There's a lamp, a remote control, a paperweight, and an empty, decorative bowl. The kind that you might keep your keys in.

[predictably, you're going to eventually press the one that turns on the TV. It turns on suddenly, playing some B-list horror movie at an uncomfortable volume!

Changing the channel doesn't help. Every channel is a B-list horror movie.]

[Where to first? Aside from the couch, endtable, and TV, there's a desk and lounge chair. There's also the door, of course.]

[ let's go for the desk. so many things can be hidden in a desk. ]

[Underneath the desk is a cat bed. It's empty, thankfully, so you don't have to worry about becoming kitty chow today.

On top of the desk are various odds and ends; a stack of papers, some pencils and paperclips, a vase, an ashtray, a ring of keys. At one end of the desk, you're almost close enough to reach the knob on the door. There's also a drawer if you want to try and lever it open.]

[ picking stuff up is so hard when you're as small as a mouse though. so he'll just. grab onto a pencil and drag it over to the drawer to force it open. ]

[Congratulations, the desk is full of tons of random shit. Mostly more papers and various office supplies, like tape, a stapler, and glue, as well as a hardback book, a box of matches and a copper, wedge-shaped paperweight in the corner.]

Grab the keys, prop the book on the edge to cover the gap, put the weight on the book, we can walk across the book to open the door?

[A brilliant, non-flammable plan from Lepus! It's kind of REALLY DIFFICULT to lift the book out of the drawer, move it across the desk and prop it up, though. You have to stop to rest for a second in the middle. It would probably be much easier with Lepus helping, but how likely is that to happen.

As you move the weight (which is thankfully much smaller than the book, though heavy), you feel a weird attraction to it. Like you want to take it with you, almost.]

[Your plan is successful, if incredibly precarious. You barely manage to turn the knob before the book wobbles dangerously and you beat a hasty retreat, but the door is now open!]

[Going to climb up the lounge chair. Very clumsily but hey. AN ATTEMPT IS MADE.]

[It's a recliner, sweet. The seat cushion is lumpy but comfortable, and affords you a good view of the B-list horror movie that's still playing on the TV. This one's got werewolves or something.]

[Hmmm.... ....
