[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to find yourself crossdressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.]

NOTE: In this group, the parts of Kira Graves, Tod Mises, and Roger Mortis are unclaimed. ICly, Kira will have been unable to attend due to both of her children being ill. Tod simply refused the invitation because he thinks his dad is a jerk. Roger had a business meeting across the country that he was unable to get out of.

[ rubbing at his eyes for a moment and--yes, there are tears gathered in the corners. ]

A-and it isn't as if he--as if I know where his money's gonna go now! After all, he--he wrote his own will an' distributed the money as he wanted to! I'm sure. . his children're important to him. . .

...Of course they would be in there, but the only one here is Fin and he -- none of them would've gone this far.

But someone did.

Someone that isn't you or myself, or Fin...Angela seems highly unlikely as well. She may be careless, but she's no murderer.

That leaves...Crim or Marvin.

What kinda reason would they have for doin' it?

...Until tonight, Crim and Phil were still feuding...It lasted twenty years and yet they had supposedly set aside their differences before tonight -- but this was the first I've heard of it.

I don't know Marvin, but he's been...very insistent on taking a look at the evidence first and ensuring that it's protected.

. . . There's reason to suspect both.

. . the will. Who knows where the will is?

[...hissing]

They do now. I asked them to retrieve some documents...We must hurry upstairs! To the office!

[ HIKING UP HIS SKIRT to rush towards the office!! ]

[RUSHING UPSTAAAAIRS!]

[You hurry upstairs, arriving to the sounds of rapid movement inside. You reach out to throw open the door...just as "Crim" and "Marvin" come walking out themselves, looking casual and holding a bundle of papers.]

"-Phil had good taste in charities, huh?"

[Says Crim. Past the duo, you see Phil's office in a state of slight disarray, at least one of the desk drawers having been completely turned out.]
