[Maya's Heart]
[Everything goes white, almost blindingly, as you enter Eveningstar's heart.... it's so overwhelming that you forget, for a moment, what you're doing, why you're here, and details about yourself start to slip---]
[but then it all stops, abruptly, and your senses return to you]

BOSS 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
[Or is it?]
[As Eveningstar begins to stir, the creature uses the sliver of remaining strength it has to wrap a tendril around her... and swallow her right into its body]
[A shimmer goes through all of the shards, reflecting light onto you, and somewhat rejuvenated, it rises again, poised to attack you]
[It's angry, and the first thing it does is swipe directly at you with the nasty, large, jagged splinters]

[ She's already starting to run low on prana, but she reinforces herself again to block as many people as she can. ]

stepladder to slash across his arm][When it pulls the tendril back, there's an opening]

[ Fires off a Gandr shot... because if it hits Eveningstar, it'll only make her sick. ]

[As the
stepladder parts wrap around what passes for its legs, it crushes the bottom layer of shards, and they, too, fall to the ground. It makes an inhuman screech of pain and forces the parts out, sending them flying back at the attacking pair, sending several shards from its body hurtling through the air towards them as well]no subject

[In the mirror shards you can see your own reflection: but in it, you are dying horribly, impaled and screaming wordlessly in pain as the life seeps from your body]

stepladder fire up again, knocking off several shards and seaming to clip something near its head that has the grip loosening of both of them, almost like it lost control of them.. did it?][however, in a wild, pained, panic, another tendril whips up go straight at them, two shards prone on either side to get them both--]

HOLD IT!
[He doesn't seem to know how to use it very well, but he does throw himself in between the tendril and the both of you, cutting Schooler totally free and Blade partially free before he gets impaled. In both arms.]

it takes him that long to come up with a solution. he suddenly switches forms, and immediately uses the wolf's smaller bulk to try and spring away.]

[He futilely calls out to Schooler, pushing himself to move despite... well, the shards embedded right through his arms. He leaps to the side, anyway, right on top of another tendril poised to attack Schooler as she charges in]

[Schooler, on the other hand, is in range for an attack, so while she swings with a sword, the creature jerks towards her, attempting to crush her to the ground with its superior side]
[Her sword will impale a shard, but as it shatters the pieces risk hitting her]

FINAL ROUND
[It shoots out all of its shards at once, at you, like glass spears hurtling through the air]
["Poochy" jumps to his feet to do his best to put himself between you and them, getting impaled everywhere with shards, but it's not quite enough.]
[Should you survive the attack, you can now see that the creature is armorless and defenseless. More than that, you can see a large sliver where its neck should be, almost like.. a splinter? It's an obvious weak spot, and it's wide open]
[If you still have enough fight in you, that is]

She's tired, but it's easy to move when she can manipulate the weight of her body. A foot step feels less like a chore and more as if she's floating. Rushing towards it, with a reinforced fist of steel... ]
Take that!

[This time, however, that wail is cut mercifully short as the last of its strength leaves it, and it sinks into the ground. Whatever material it's made of, feels slimy and thick and it slips down to the ground, pooling at your feet, before disintegrating completely]
[The final lock shatters on the door shatters. With that shattering, you feel some of your life and energy flowing back into you - enough that you can stand and walk, enough that the pain isn't overwhelming, enough that your injuries aren't fatal.]
[Eveningstar is nowhere to be found, but the door swings open of its own accord and you're free to go in]
