[As you step through Castling's mirror, you end up in a large, bright and blinding white space. It's so bright that it's difficult to see anything the first few moments. Your eyes will probably hurt a lot.]

[it's pretty... empty, really. there's no real childhood memories of any kind. it's like a blank slate with some hints of regulations and rules and training, and warnings of repercussions for wrongdoings, but also experiences of such. (nothing of it is pleasant, but it's also nothing that seems to face him, as if it's something he knows he is used to.)

there's a sadness over it all though, but it's nothing he's expressing on the outside]
