Oh, there you are. We've got a lot of wounded ones in here. He says some of them are hurt in their bodies and in their hearts, and they all need to be mended.

Oh, uh... I'm hardly a vet. I don't want to make it worse.

What's a vet? We're just helping them with what we can.

Oh, like... a doctor that specializes in animals. But if you know what you're doing, just show me what to do, I guess.

Great. If you're ready, you can find everything you need over at the counter.

[ You can see a whole pile of useful medical items: blankets, bandages, antibiotic ointment, the clipboard with the aforementioned chart, gauze, and metal poles. There's also catnip, paper towels, and other cleaning supplies. ]

I'm gonna go up front and see about calling around to find out where that lazy ass has gotten off to; I'll trust you ladies to do what you can.

[Daisy is very careful with the cats, and she coos to them a lot and tells them what good kitties they are. surreptitiously checking to see if she recognizes any of the names on the nametags, tho]

[ OKAY, so from worst to least:

Approaching the cage, there's a strange looking cat inside. From appearances, it looks like it's been in a fairly bad fight at some point: scratch and bite marks cover its back, an eye, and one shoulder, and it is apparently trying to keep off of one leg. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "SPARROW."

Approaching the cage, there's a white tiger inside. There's a deep, nasty bite mark on one. You feel a very deep sense of guilt when approaching this cat, like you'd just like to run away. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "YUKINE."

Approaching the cage, there's a spotted cat inside. It appears to have gotten into a fight with another cat, and its injuries, one over each eye, are instantly evident. Something about these wounds strike you as being old—as though they'd been reopened somehow. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "LACE."

Approaching the cage, there's a Snowshoe cat inside. There's a deep scratch mark above one of its eyes. You feel a very deep sense of guilt when approaching this cat, like you'd just like to run away. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "VASH."

Approaching the cage, there's a Maine Coon cat inside. It looks like its been bitten on one leg, which it is also refusing to stand on. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "TOGETIC."

Approaching the cage, there's a Burmese cat inside. It looks like its been scratched, but its wounds are quite light. It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "GULL."

After cleaning the wounds and caring for all of these animals, the majority of whom respond quite lovingly to you in spite of the occasional feeling of hesitation, you feel considerably better, like something that's been holding you down for a long time is finally lifted.

A butterfly materializes and hovers between the two of you. It gives off a faintly warm feeling. Now would be the time to use your bug catcher.

[ Approaching the large cage next to the white tiger, there's a grey-ish, black-ish tiger inside. ((never mind the fierce look , it's not!!!) You can't see any visible scratches or bites, but seeing it you feel irritated and sad and guilty. It has numerous tags on its collar (which really resembles a scarf?), a few of which seem to have suspiciously been removed, the front-most which is silver and reads "YATO."

In another of the cages there's a Persian cat inside. You can't see any visible scratches or bites, but you feel angry when you see this cat.It has numerous tags on its collar, the front-most which is silver and reads "CROWN." As you approach it, the cat draws away from you, like its wary. Unlike any other hissing cat you've seen today, though, it has decided to greet you by peeing. Everywhere. ]

Ah. That's nice, isn't it? Very nice.

[goes to get a towel, sigh]
