Hopefully Armin has his arms around that cub, because as they head in that direction, they'll suddenly start sliding down the path, the ground frozen over and iced beneath their feet.
There's a turn at the end of this hall, but also some ... dangerous-looking jagged rocks jutting out just where the corner bends. And at the pace they're sliding, turning might be a little hard if they're not quick or smooth enough.]
[ Aoko grabs Armin with one arm, and, using her other arm, shoves off the opposite wall with her mop. She's hoping the nudge will be just enough to change their direction before they can slam into those rocks. ]
[ Groans, pushing herself up. She scoots closer to Armin and reaches out towards him, resting a hand on his shoulder. They need to get up, they need to get moving soon. ]
Armin, are you okay? [ And to the bear: ] How about you, little guy?
And reach a dead-end. Looks like you made the wrong choice!
When you turn back around, though, you're ambushed by an annoyed swarm of bats that were resting in that area. They screech and some of them nip and bite with their little sharp teeth.]
The rest of the bats kind of ... bonk against the shield a few times as they try to get through it. But they don't leave their area, so once Aoko and Armin get back to where the two paths are, they won't be followed.]
Re: THE DEN
Re: THE DEN
[ This is going to end well. ]
Right it is! Let's go.

Re: THE DEN
[HOLDING TIGHT ONTO THE BEAR AND LEANING INTO AOKO HOPING THAT HER MOP SKILLS WILL SAVE THEM]
Re: THE DEN
The icy floor also abruptly stops, so with the momentum from the sliding they'll probably lose their footing.]
Re: THE DEN
Owie!
Re: THE DEN
Re: THE DEN
A moment later its ears perk and its eyes widen a little, as a distant howl can be heard somewhere in the distance outside of the den.
Ahead of Aoko and Armin once they get back to their feet are two pathways: left and right.]

Re: THE DEN
I'm fine. And it looks like he is, too.
Re: THE DEN
Unless the source of those howls catch up to you, of course. Then he's lunch.
...
Then you're ALL lunch tbh.]
Re: THE DEN
Okay, good. But it sounds like those wolves are gonna catch up to us if we don't keep moving … [ Shifts on her feet. ] Let's go—let's go left?
Re: THE DEN
[Peering down the left path, trying to see if it goes downwards as well.]
Re: THE DEN
Though you can't see very far down the path.
And the right pretty much looks the same.]
Re: THE DEN
[ She glances at Armin, and takes a step towards the left almost questioningly. ]

Re: THE DEN
W-Why the heck—?!
[ Good thing for Cat pendants! A bubble shield snaps into being around herself and Armin, but not before Aoko PUNCHES A BAT IN THE FACE. ]
[ Also not before she gets bit a few times, either. ]
Re: THE DEN
Armin curls himself around the bear to protect it from getting bitten, which means he gets some extra bites for his trouble. Ow.]
Re: THE DEN
And hisses.
How rude, you guys are the trespassers!!
The rest of the bats kind of ... bonk against the shield a few times as they try to get through it. But they don't leave their area, so once Aoko and Armin get back to where the two paths are, they won't be followed.]
Re: THE DEN
I … I'm going to leave the shield up for a while …
[ They've got ten minutes of it, and at the rate they're going, it'll probably come in handy before long. ]
G-Geez.
Re: THE DEN
[Time to go back and try the right path!]
Re: THE DEN
The path either continues forward or branches left.
You hear another howl, this time it's closer, and the sound of numerous distant feet echoing somewhere in the cave behind you.]
