[ Because why wouldn't she have a grappling gun, you always need a grappling gun. Especially when you're going on an adventure. Doubly especially after your last adventure ended in absolute disaster. ]
[ Cats and kitchen knives, man. They're gonna run out of stuff to cook with at this rate. ]
Hopefu—
[ Aoko freezes mid-step, which, considering the fact that she was facing backwards at the time, almost sends her tripping over a branch to sprawl on her backside. She catches herself with a stumbling hop, head snapping in the direction of the sounds. ]
[The path widens to a larger area in the cave, that they'll find...
Is very much a den. As two more baby polar bears are sitting inside, playing by chasing each other, leaping over and hiding behind the rocks spread out around the cave.]
[Nothing else appears to be around. Save for the babies and various rocks and stones all around the cave. Larger ones, smaller ones, some in piles too heavy to be moved by them.
The baby bear lets out a happy noise as he runs over to the other two. Said other two pause, staring at Aoko and Armin warily.]
THE FOREST
Aside from that, it's pretty quiet out there.]

It's peaceful in here, don't you think?
Re: THE FOREST
Actually, he wishes he had an elaborate body harness with grappling guns and swords.
God he really needs to quest for some 3DMG one of these days.]
It's always fairly peaceful in the woods, isn't it?
Re: THE FOREST
[ … She pulls out a couple of cookies and offers him one. ]
Yup! [ Twirls, head tilted back, shading her eyes from the dappled light with the back of her hand. ]
When you're not being chased by wolves!
Re: THE FOREST
He takes a cookie and munches on it happily.]
Hopefully we won't run into any wolves...
Re: THE FOREST
Accompanying the noise, though, is ... a whining of sorts?
A scared, desperate whining.]

What the ... What the heck is that?
Re: THE FOREST
Sounds like an animal.
[And he's going to follow the sound, as carefully and quietly as he can.]
Re: THE FOREST
a pack of wolves.
About four of them, snarling, growling and circling around something small, fuzzy and white.]

THE DEN
It looks kind of big and confusing in here, though, twists and turns and dead-ends.
And it's cold as well as dark.]
Re: THE DEN
Which way do you think we should go?
Re: THE DEN
It is snuggling back, btw. You're warm human.
It looks left, and right, but seems to have no preference.]
Re: THE DEN
[ Aoko inspects both directions carefully for any discernible differences. SHE EVEN SNIFFS THEM. ]
Re: THE DEN
The right path seems to go straight, but it's too dark to see that far ahead. The left seems to turn.]

I hope there's another way out of here.

I hope mom and dad aren't here …
[ looking around anxiously for aforementioned parents!! ]
