[ and then going over to the closed doors first to inspect them, mainly to see if they can be opened or if they're locked with something. Mostly to get an idea of if they'll have to double back to one of them later. ]

[While one door looks as if it could open, there is no visible handle or switch to do so. The second door is completely welded shut. When Rook approaches, a small green screen under dusty, cracked glass flickers to life. It asks for a passcode.

Most of the metal is not useful, and would likely only serve as blunt shrapnel. There is a somewhat large piece with a sharply-cut edge, although handling it could be risky. A sleeker object, almost like a pipe, can be seen buried under a larger pile of scrap, if one is willing to dig it out.]

We have to find a way to get this door open. [ still poking at the first door when he says this, as if that might be the trick or something, idk.

And then looking at the second one when the screen lights up. ]

Ah ... a passcode.

[ checking over the options for the passcode. Is it just numbers, letters? A mix of both? ]

[The first door does not budge under his relentless poking.

The passcode is in letters. It appears to be quite long.]

Rook, we dig this other pipe out before we move onward. I will not have you running around without a weapon.

[ glances at her, then moves to carefully dig the pipe out. ]

We're not going to hurt anything though, unless we're absolutely sure it's something bad. We don't know what kind of misleading things might be in here ... I don't know how this is supposed to work, and I don't want to mess something up if it affects Technic.

[Picking her new weapon up slices a nice, red line across Belt's palm.

The pile of scrap shifts noisly as Rook begins, and he will soon feel far more resistance than expected. Either the pipe is attached to something else, or it is not a pipe at all.]

It feels like it's stuck on something-- or part of something.

[ tries wiggling it to see if it moves like a lever. :|a ]

[It moves like a piece of something stuck under a pile of other somethings. Mystery solved: It is not a lever.]

[Shifting successful. There are lots of crashing sounds as numerous odds and ends hit the floor, some continuing their journey as they slip through metal grates that line the room, clanging off into a massive chasm.

The pipe has loosened considerably.]
