GULGALLANA & TIAMAT

[You exit the parlor through a doorway in your team's color and find yourself in some kind of entry hall. Aside from the one behind you, there are four doors - one on each of the side walls, and two opposite the entrance - each with an image carved into it. They're a bit hard to make out, however, since only one torch on the far wall is lit, lending the place a gloomy atmosphere. What you can see is that the room, once richly decorated, is now a mess; the walls are covered in peeling, royal purple wallpaper, and great swaths of the ceiling are coated with sticky cobwebs. The floor is covered with large marble tiles, inlaid with some kind of swirling design in glittering gold - but sadly, it too is out of shape. The tiles seem to shift a bit under your weight, and some of them are even missing altogether.

If you try the doors you'll find that all of them are locked, and no amount of manhandling can get them to budge.]

[OOC: This game is a treasure hunt/dungeon crawl! Your characters will be exploring the rooms they pass through and facing different challenges in each one. Some rooms will be exploratory, others will have specific rules! The goal is just to reach the end. Teams will be scored on things like teamwork, cleverness, creativity, etc.

Skills are ON, but there will be penalties if you mess up Knut's castle. He lives here, you know!]

Of course they're locked. Finishing the puzzle is probably what unlocks 'em.

[But that's... going to take forever. Cut's idea is better than doing that.]

...Cut brought up another possibility, actually. If there are screws keeping the doorknob on, we might be able to unscrew them and take off the doorknob. Would you be able to unlock it in that case?

Taking the doorknob off of a door is just as good as unlocking it.

Got anything to unscrew them, if they do have any? It doesn't have to be a screwdriver, just anything with a thin, but sturdy, flat edge should do the trick.

The screws look a bit rusty, so it's probably best if you handle it. The screws breaking halfway could be a problem.

The spinning stars at the end of the boots? It's better than nothing.

[ He starts taking off one of his boots right now, picking it up. Hideous boots actually do something good now, but the stars are attached... Maybe they should rip these off? ]

The only problem is getting them off, then... It could be simpler if we had a knife to just cut it out, but...

If we had a knife, we could have just used that to unscrew the doorknobs. Let's see if this guy can just somehow use the stars while they're still attached first. If not, we'll then worry about trying to rip the stars off.

[after retrieving some cowboy boots with spurs on them, Kaito will attempt to use those spurs to unscrew the rusted screws from the doorknob. he's working carefully, so as to not accidentally break the screws]

[I'm still going to sigh since we broke something, though.]

We should try to leave things as undamaged as possible, so if you have faith in your skills, we should probably put it back together before we leave. I suppose it's not possible to completely repair it at this point, though.

Most of the screws are still in tact, so I could easily put it back together from the other side.

The one that broke is a lost cause, though.
