[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes have changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to suddenly find yourself cross-dressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.]

[You reach Phil Graves's office on the third floor. It's a finely furnished room with ceiling high bookcases (packed full), a massive mahogany desk (currently buried under various files and papers), a large stone fireplace with photographs on the mantle, and a luxurious Persian rug. And, of course, the doors to the balcony.]

[ Immediately begins to look for any footprints - dirt, impressions on the rug, any water tracked back into the room by the killer from being out on the balcony in the storm. ]

I-- ah. . . yes, you're right. Perhaps the perpetrator left behind some clues.

Footprints, some lint from their clothes, the scent of their cologne - or perfume... who knows. Some CSI shit up in here.

[ Uh I mean. ]

We're amongst an enemy now. They can't be left to escape, or continue their rampage.

I agree. It would be best for us to stick together.

We'll have to split up into groups. Maybe check in every thirty minutes in this main common room.

Why? We can worry about splitting up later. First, we should investigate the crime scene. Together.

Okay, everyone together then. People who are more... uh, delicate? Can hang out outside with a designated... watcher person.

. . . something like that, yes. But the important thing is for none of us to leave each other's sights.

S-shouldn't we also call the police?

The butler here already called them, but they can't make it until the storm clears. So either we stay here and slowly get picked off by some money-hungry psycho, or we make a move.
